【摘要】:Thisguideprovidesthebasisforselectingandcalibratingdosimetrysystemsusedtomeasureabsorbeddoseingamma-rayorX-rayfieldsandinelectronbeamsusedforradiationprocessing.Itdiscussesthetypesofdosimetrysystemsthatmaybeemployedduringcalibrationoronaroutinebasisaspartofqualityassuranceincommercialradiationprocessingofproducts.Thisguidealsodiscussesinterpretationofabsorbeddoseandbrieflyoutlinestheuncertaintiesassociatedwiththedosimetrymeasurements.Thedetailsofthecalibrationoftheanalyticalinstrumentationareaddressedinindividualdosimetrysystemstandardpractices.Theabsorbed-doserangecoveredisfromabout1Gy(100rad)to1MGy(100Mrad).Sourceenergiescoveredarefrom0.1to50MeVphotonsandelectrons.Standardpracticesandguidesforspecificdosimetrysystemsandapplicationsarecoveredinotherstandards.Dosimetryforradiationprocessingwithneutronsorheavychargedparticlesisnotcoveredinthisguide.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
