【摘要】:1Thispracticecoversthepreparation,testing,andprocedureforusingtheacidicaqueoussilverdichromatedosimetrysystemtomeasureabsorbeddoseinwaterwhenexposedtoionizingradiation.Thesystemconsistsofadosimeterandappropriateanalyticalinstrumentation.Forsimplicity,thesystemwillbereferredtoasthedichromatesystem.Itisclassifiedasareferencestandarddosimetrysystem(seeGuideE1261).2Thispracticedescribesthespectrophotometricanal-ysisproceduresforthedichromatesystem.3Thispracticeappliesonlytoγ-rays,x-rays,andhighenergyelectrons.4Thispracticeappliesprovidedthefollowingcondi-tionsaresatisfied:4.1Theabsorbeddoserangeisfrom2×10to5×10Gy.4.2Theabsorbeddoseratedoesnotexceed600Gy/pulsewithapulserepetitionratenottoexceed12.5Hz,ordoesnotexceedanequivalentdoserateof7.5kGy/sfromcontinuoussources(1).4.3Forradionuclidegamma-raysources,theinitialphotonenergyshallbegreaterthan0.6MeV.Forbremsstrahlungphotons,theinitialenergyoftheelectronsusedtoproducethebremsstrahlungphotonsshallbeequaltoorgreaterthan2MeV.Forelectronbeams,theinitialelectronenergyshallbegreaterthan8MeV.Note1—Thelowerenergylimitsgivenareappropriateforacylindricaldosimeterampouleof12mmdiameter.Correctionsfordisplacementeffectsanddosegradientacrosstheampoulemayberequiredforelectronbeams(2).Thedichromatesystemmaybeusedatlowerenergiesbyemployingthinner(inthebeamdirection)dosimetercontainers(seeICRUReport35).4.4Theirradiationtemperatureofthedosimetershallbeabove0℃andshouldbebelow80℃.Note2—Thetemperaturecoefficientofdosimeterresponseisknownonlyintherangeof5℃to50℃(see10.1.8).Useoutsidethisrangeisnotrecommended.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappro-priatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplica-bilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecau-tionarystatementsaregiveninNote6.
