【摘要】:Thisstandardspecifiesmethodsfortheassessmentoftheriskofburningwhenahotsurfaceistouchedbyunprotectedskin.ThisdocumentalsodescribeshowsurfacetemperaturelimitvaluescanbeestablishedinproductstandardswiththeaidofEN563.Theguidanceisforestablishingtemperaturelimitvaluesinallfields,wheresurfacetemperaturelimitvaluesarerequired.Itsfieldofapplicationisnotrestrictedtothesafetyofmachinery.Itisapplicableforallkindsofproductswherehotsurfacescauseariskofburning.Itappliesaswellforelectricallypoweredproductsasforallotherproducts.Thisdocumentappliestohotsurfacesofproductswhichmaybetouchedbyhealthyadults,children,elderlyandphysicallydisabledpeople.Italsoappliestoproductsusedinanyenvironment,e.g.workplaces,thehome,etc.Thisdocumentdoesnotsetsurfacetemperaturelimitvalues.Itprovidesguidancetotechnicalcommitteestocarryoutassessmentsoftheriskofburningandtoestablishappropriatesurfacetemperaturelimitvaluesifnecessary.Italsoprovideshintsaboutthenecessityandthepossibilityoftheestablishmentoflimitvalues.Itistheresponsibilityoftechnicalcommitteeswhichpreparestandardsforproductstoassessifthesettingofsurfacetemperaturelimitvaluesisnecessaryandtosetthoselimitvaluesifneedbe.Thisdocumentalsoprovidesthepossibilityofharmonizingsurfacetemperaturelimitvaluesinstandardsforallkindofproducts.Fordifferentproductswiththesameriskofburningitisreasonabletoestablishidenticallimitvalues.ThisdocumentalsoprovidesadditionalinformationwhichisnotcontainedinEN563.Thisincludesburnthresholdsforcontactperiodsbelow1s,burnthresholdsfordifferenttexturesofmaterialandtheassessmentofburningrisksforpeopleotherthanhealthyadults.Thisdocumentdoesnotdealwiththeproblemoffeelingpainwhenahotsurfaceistouched.NOTE:Ifprotectionagainstpainisnecessary,referenceismadetootherappropriatesources;seeannexAinEN563:1994.ThefollowinglimitationsinthescopeofEN563:1994alsoapplytothisdocument:-thermalcapacity;-maximumareaoftheskinwhenincontactwithahotsurface;-contactwhichcouldresultinburnsofvitalareasoftheface;-healthyskin.
