【摘要】:1.1ThisGuideprovidesguidancetowritersofrelevantInternationalStandardsonhowtotakeintoaccounttheneedsofolderpersonsandpersonswithdisabilities.WhilstrecognizingthatsomepeoplewithveryextensiveandcomplexdisabilitiesmayhaverequirementsbeyondtheleveladdressedinthisGuide,averylargenumberofpeoplehaveminorimpairmentswhichcanbeeasilyaddressedbyrelativelysmallchangesofapproachinstandards,therebyincreasingthemarketfortheproductorservice.ThisGuideaimsa)toinform,increaseunderstandingandraiseawarenessabouthowhumanabilitiesimpactontheusabilityofproducts,servicesandenvironments,b)tooutlinetherelationshipbetweentherequirementsinstandardsandtheaccessibilityandusabilityofproductsandservices,andc)toraiseawarenessaboutthebenefitsofadoptingaccessibledesignprinciplesintermsofawidermarket.1.2ThisGuideappliestoproducts,servicesandenvironmentsencounteredinallaspectsofdailylifeandintendedfortheconsumermarketandtheworkplace.Forthepurposesofthisdocument,theterm‘productsandservices’isusedtoreflectallthesepurposes.1.3ThisGuidea)describesaprocessbywhichtheneedsofolderpersonsandpersonswithdisabilitiesmaybeconsideredinthedevelopmentofstandards,b)providestablestoenablestandardsdeveloperstorelatetherelevantclausesofastandardtothefactorswhichshouldbeconsideredtoensurethatallabilitiesareaddressed,c)offersdescriptionsofbodyfunctionsorhumanabilitiesandthepracticalimplicationsofimpairment,d)offersalistofsourcesthatstandardsdeveloperscanusetoinvestigatemoredetailedandspecificguidancematerials.1.4ThisGuideprovidesgeneralguidance.Considerationshouldbegiventothedevelopmentofadditionalguidesforspecificproductorservicesectors.1.5Whileitisrecognizedthataccessibilityandusabilityareimportantforbothproductsamdservices,internationalworkonservicesstandardsisatthepreliminarystage.Atpresent,thisGuidecontainsconsiderablymoreguidanceonproductsthanonservices.
